MY YANKEE CANDLE WEEK – EGYPTIAN MUSK, MIDNIGHT JASMINE, EVENING AIR, PINK GRAPEFRUIT and much more! (2 we 2nd August)

It is a two week catch up, so short on the chat and lots on the candles this time. We’ve had it all in the past fortnight – warm weather, cold weather, sunshine, rain – oh and Christmas in July too on our Team Yankee Facebook group, though I couldn’t quite bring myself to burn a Christmas fragrance! Talking of what I’ve burned let’s wind back two weeks….

Stargazer Lily is a beautiful medium strength floral with an authentic feel of lily about it.

Under The Palms is so lovely to look at – and smell too. It has the atmosphere of a deserted beach with young coconuts ripening on the trees.

Sicilian Lemon is beautifully refreshing at any time of year. Its slight tartness makes it extra special.

First time for Lake Sunset in a while. Its soft freshness with a hint of fruit makes it perfect for a summer’s evening.

Honey Glow has the wonderful aroma of perfume blended with its soft honey notes.

And for heavy rain, not much is better than the dark grey colours of Mountain Lake. Its scent is like a very strong watery aftershave – bliss!

Early Sunrise is another I use all year round, as long as it is a bright sunny morning. Its lemony freshness is the perfect way to start your day.

Black Coconut is always wonderful. The rich mature coconut blended with sandalwood make this feel so luxurious and special.

The heavens opened again and the tingly floral freshness of Storm Watch is always a treat in rainy or blustery weather.

Silver Birch is nice on a cooler day. It is a more woodsy kind of aftershave type fragrance and it gives a hint of the autumnal - hiding just around the corner!

French Lavender is always uplifting and refreshing with its authentic aroma, softened to make it feel like you are walking through a lavender filled garden.

Mountain Lodge is always a treat for me. It has that luxury cabin in the woods feel about it, you can almost smell the freshly polished wood.

The temperature started to rise again and Ginger Dusk is a delightful summer evening scent with its gingery verbena aroma.

Tiki Bar makes you feel like you have Pineapple ice cream on tap!

Quite possibly my all time favourite Yankee Candle, Evening Air has probably the best, fresh aftershavey notes. It’s like stepping outside of your luxury hotel at night in the middle of the peaceful  Scottish Highlands – divine!

Camomile Tea is the most gentle morning wake up fragrance with its soft sweet aroma.

Egyptian Musk accompanied The Magnificent Seven. A great warming scent perfect for any hot, desert landscape!

Midnight Jasmine is always a delight. One of the very best Yankee Candle florals, it never gets old.

Pink Grapefruit is a nice spritzy wake you up fragrance.  Not too strong, but just right to get you ready for the day.

Sweet Strawberry is perfect for a hot sunny afternoon. It has a very authentic aroma of strawberry jam – it is a sweet summer treat in a candle!

Golden Sands brought the fortnight to a lovely warming close with its soft feeling, yet quite powerful fragrance.

I’ve also been enjoying Macintosh in a tart, it gives you that just picked off the tree red apple deliciousness and I’ve had another go with the various melt cups in Scenterpiece. I’ve definitely found a use for it – check out my video review and re-evaluation of Scenterpiece HERE.

Back soon, thanks for reading!
