A melt of
Lavender Vanilla came next. Always enjoy this lovely blend, it has a rich,
creamy elegance.
Midnight
Jasmine is so lovely. I can burn this one all year round. The beautiful jasmine
flower scent to me has a dark, mysterious air about it, probably because the
scent of jasmine is most prevalent at night.
The equally
gorgeous Ginger Dusk followed, many agree the highlight of the new fragrances
(though they are all good)! The citrus
tinge is the lemony scent of verbena and it really is a lovely late summer burner.
Almost as
good is another new one Honey Glow which we burned on Friday evening. The
lovely honey feel is jazzed up with deeper perfumed notes.
Saturday
kicked off with a melt of Bahama Breeze with Honey & Spice tea lights in
the bathroom. Into the evening and a Fruit Salad votive didn’t deliver with the
power that the melts do, but it was still nice. A heady blend of fruit, a bit
like the Yankee scent Tropical Fruit but with a bit more specialness to it in
my opinion.
Black
Coconut was the star in the living room though. Just love its ability to whisk
you off to exotic locations in your mind!
Sunday
started with a refreshing fizzy burst of Sparkling Lemon.
This was
followed by a melt of Macintosh, which we thought had a little in common with
Meadow Showers (discounting the apples of course!)
Then, for
the first Sunday of the month burn which I joined for the first time (more
below), the lovely Lakeside Birch. The scent is a very sharp perfume and it does bring to mind a stroll through
woods by the lake while wearing a nice scent on an autumn day.
So the week
ended with Ann’s popular first Sunday burn of the month which had previously
been exclusively on Twitter. Ann tried it on Facebook as well and it went down
a storm with Team Yankee Global group members. The category was any ‘fresh’
candle and here’s a few of the photos submitted…
