WEEKLY BURN REVIEW (part one) - BEACH GARDEN, LAVENDER VANILLA, TURQUOISE SKY and more!

Two weeks have gone split by a holiday so lots to talk about and some new photos over a two part blog for this week.

Winding the clock back to before it got really hot here in the UK, the first glimpse of sunshine was an excuse to give BEACH GARDEN from the Beachside Limited Edition set another burn. Still not come across another scent like this in the Yankee range with its wild berry notes giving the impression of a fruit garden on the coastline. It’s lovely.

I managed to get hold of some LAVENDER VANILLA melts recently and this fragrance is to die for! Shame it is no longer around. The blend of the floral lavender with vanilla is a triumph.

Onto another warm evening and VANILLA LIME always brings a creamy zest and a cooling feeling. Even on the hottest nights, VANILLA LIME will chill you out!

STAR FRUIT AND ORANGE as a votive is fairly weak although the exotic orange citrus is there. It is a lovely smell and watch for my forthcoming piece on how you can get more from a weak votive.

The lovely MELON AND LIME COOL POPS has been used a couple of times in the searing heat of my conservatory. Its melting ice cream scent with fruity notes will definitely always remind me of this summer.

MIDSUMMER’S NIGHT I like more and more each time I burn it. It must be in my top 5 Yankee fragrances now and I could never be without it. It is so unique and mysterious and absolutely goes with any warm summer’s evening. MIDSUMMER’S NIGHT whisks you away to a luxurious night time retreat with its heady perfumed scent. As Steven Corfield says it’s the Milk Tray advert from the 1970s but perhaps also Martini and Cinzano too!

And finally TURQUOISE SKY I used for a first burn and its lovely fresh scent brings to mind a summery day at the beach. The cool blue water under a clear sky can be yours if you close your eyes and soak its lovely ambience in.

More to come in Part Two!
