YANKEE CANDLE ON QVC – EASTER WEEKEND REVIEW

I haven’t done a QVC write up for a while, so thought it was about time to focus on some of the home shopping channel’s latest Yankee Candle offerings.

An extra special weekend too with 3 Yankee Candle TV shows featuring both QVC Yankee Candle Brand Ambassadors Rosa Speyer and Steven Corfield!

With all of the fun of Easter, I missed some of each show but I saw enough tantalising glances to get just a bit excited!!

Highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly the special appearance of two USA exclusive large jars – Cherry Lemonade and Green Grass. A lovely summery set – and at the time of writing there are still a few available!

Rosa described Green Grass as having captured the aroma of dew drenched grass, whereas fan favourite Cherry Lemonade she said was almost like Yankee scents Sparkling Lemon mixed with Cherries On Snow.

There was a new set of 3 scent bead jars which were selling like hot cakes! Rosa described them as a perfect entry level product for people to try Yankee Candle and she mentioned that you can’t buy them from anywhere else in the UK.

Oh – and a handy tip from Rosa – never pick up a jar by the lid. She recounted a tale where her mother-in-law did just that and the jar fell and smashed – whoops!

It was great to see Steven Corfield back on screen having not been on the Yankee shows for a few weeks and he had some great stuff on his show co-hosted with Julia Roberts.

There was a nice duo of Pink Hibiscus and Clean Cotton with a set of wick trimmers with Steven mentioning how he’s liking the refreshing, almost fruity notes of Pink Hibiscus more and more and how it’s becoming a personal favourite of his.

Also an Easter surprise special with 30 samplers of the spring release scents (10 of each of Champaca Blossom, Lovely Kiku and Pink Hibiscus) and two celebrations stemmed glass holders with 9 samplers which was also a lovely product.

Highlight of the show for many was big Yankee (and Steven!) fan Jill phoning in to the show. Jill (minding her ps and qs haha) mentioned how Orange Splash was one of her current favourite scents along with Black Plum Blossom. She also mentioned bringing back a suitcase full of Yankee Candle tarts back from her hols in the USA last year!

A terrific couple of days of Yankee Candle on QVC and lovely to see both Steven and Rosa. Yankee Candle is back on QVC next Monday 28^th April!
