MY YANKEE CANDLE DIARY – LOVES ME LOVES ME NOT, PINEAPPLE CILANTRO, BEACH FLOWERS and more! (w/e 18th May)

Too hot, too hot, too hot! Well, particularly for May – but a good chance to get in the summer spirit with Yankee Candle!

Bahama Breeze kicked off the week with our continuing ‘Lost’ tv series marathon. I can’t put into words how much I love this Yankee Candle. It’s the perfect blend of tropical fruits and a scent that whisks you off to both paradise islands and seas. Utterly adore it!

First try of Sicilian Lemon in a large jar form, having finished our small jar – we’ve upgraded. This subtler, slightly bitter lemon scent is always delightful.

Pineapple Cilantro made its debut in our house finally. It’s very much a Pineapple version of Paradise Spice and the scent filled the room with fruity goodness. Sorry for blurry pic!

Island Guava in tart form is another lovely, creamy fruit combination. Softer because of the guava notes and not as overly sweet as some others.

Garden Hideaway is always a delight and is now getting very hard to find since it retired last year. It literally brings a luscious floral garden indoors!

Midnight Jasmine’s beautifully authentic notes work well at any time of year, but particularly on a warm night.

In to Sunday and Beach Flowers comes into its own on a hot day. A very strong powdery mix, it makes you want to jump into your car and whizz off to the seaside!

Finally, closing the week down was Loves Me Loves Me Not along with the Woody Allen film ‘A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy’. I think Loves Me Loves Me Not was made for this film or vice versa. A heavenly combination with each heightening the enjoyment of the other! Loves Me Loves Me Not is endless spring and summer evenings with nature blossoming all around you. Wonderful!
