YANKEE CANDLE – NEW FAN TWITTER HASHTAG

I hope everyone is happy with it. Mainly so fans can talk to each other on Twitter and hopefully get some shoutouts from the TV shows. I will do my best to spread the word.

Long live #teamyankee !!

HELP US CHOOSE!

You may or may not be aware that a previous hashtag used by many Yankee Candle folk to identify themselves on Twitter and talk about the hobby has been compromised.

Basically because of the phrase being used by an inappropriate site, the phrase and hashtag can no longer be referred to by Yankee Candle themselves, anyone on the QVC team or anyone associated with Yankee Candle in any way.

I’m sure you’ll agree this was always one of the biggest thrills getting a shoutout for the Yankee group via the web or via the fantastic Yankee Candle TV shows on QVC and most especially just talking on twitter among our group with a common passion!

So for those of us who have grown to be a part of that group over the past 18 months to 2 years, the suggestion is that we choose a new hashtag to identify us as a group of dedicated Yankee Candle followers!

I thought I would try and co-ordinate something via my blog so that we can choose a new name for our tweets and I will then do my best to get word out to the QVC folk and Yankee!

PLEASE TWEET YOUR FAVOURITE HASHTAG TO ME @ANDYSYANKEES AND I WILL THEN ADD UP VOTES AND POST DETAILS OF THE WINNER

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions and I will add to the list to choose from.

From the chat at my recent party we are obviously disappointed to lose the original name (yankeea***) for the group of yankee people that love the hobby – so please help us pick a new one!
