Another hot
week, so full on summer burns continue in our Yankee Candle world. Promised
rain was barely a shower in my part of the world, so it was a case of enjoy the
fragrances, I guess the heat won’t last forever!
We started
the week with a burn of perhaps the most refreshing Yankee Candle fragrance of
all, the lovely Lemon Lavender. A little easier to burn, as I found out over
the weekend that I had won a large jar of Lemon Lavender in one of the fabulous competitions run by the
lovely folk at Stanley Lodge Farm!
The sweet,
yet peppery fruit notes of Wild Passion Fruit came next – every time we use
this fragrance we like it more.
And then
midweek, it was the welcome return of Beach Wood. It is a very light fragrance,
so choose your burn location carefully, but I got enough of its deliciously
oily uniqueness to enjoy it. (I have a positive article on the lighter Yankee
Candle scents coming soon).
We promised
to treat ourselves to some rare burns from the ‘beachside’ collection during
the peak of summer, so the first was Beach Escape. To me Beach Escape is like a
very strong Sun and Sand and it is really lovely. Totally reminds me of being
on a sandy beach.
Seeing in
the weekend I needed a pick me up after a long week’s commuting. The lovely
delicate perfumed notes of Pink Lady Slipper suited perfectly and gently
restored my equilibrium!
Citrus Tango
was used on Saturday once again, this has become a firm favourite from the
summer release.
Onto Sunday
morning and I started the day with the lovely powdery pure melon aroma of
Honeydew Melon. It’s another fragrance that gives a true ‘refreshed’ feel to
your living space.
Sunday
afternoon and evening another treat from the ‘beachside’ collection with Beach
Blue. One of the strongest, most salty, spa crystal like fragrances Yankee
Candle have ever done. It is a real treat.
And finally
my guest photo of the week from Melissa of our
Team Yankee Global Facebook Group. Soft Blanket is one of
her favourites.
