Two weeks to
catch up on as I still struggle with a theme for February! Oh well at least we
got to reorganise our main Yankee Candle cabinet over the weekend, based around
an early spring theme (I will put a photo on Team Yankee once we’ve filled in
the final spaces with our new order).
So what has
been burning in our household over the past couple of weeks?
The lovely,
unique Warm Spice. Nothing quite like the nutty, sweet, lightly spiced feel of
this scent. Its label and colour never really gave a hint at the deliciously
complex aroma within.
Macintosh
Spice also with its sharper almost menthol like apple flavour ( I wonder if it
is in fact Eucalyptus in this scent?)
Season Of
Peace is pure white musk and a wintery scent that can go on well beyond
Christmas.
Waikiki
Melon goes along with slightly lighter mornings. A lovely tropical melon scent
and just retired, so stock up!
First Down
always goes well with James Bond. The aroma is like how you’d image if walking
into a gentleman’s private club in Victorian London.
Candy Corn
is delicious anytime of year with its buttery sweet notes. This photo is one of
my favourites – I wish it was Halloween!
Fluffy
Towels is a lovely clean scent with a hint of lemon. Great for giving your home
that spruced up, spring cleaned feel.
Vanilla
Chai, another early 2015 retiring scent will be much missed. The most exotic
and atmospheric candle scent in the current Yankee Candle range in my opinion.
Berrylicious,
always brings a little cheer with its scrummy blueberry cake like aroma.
Red Velvet
is full on vanilla luxury and it always seems indulgent.
Blissful
Autumn may well be the first large jar we finish. Virtually no smell this time
around, despite a good pooling.
Coastal
Waters gives you that seaspray salty freshness and is great for an uplift or a
close your eyes trip to the seashore.
Vanilla
Satin is highly perfumed vanilla and a taste of 5 star luxury in a candle!
Water Garden
has that lovely fizzy floral atmosphere that you get by large ponds or lakes.
And finally,
a Lavender Vanilla tart inspired us so much that our next two large jars tried
to recreate the feel. The lovely fresh yet oily French Lavender and on the
other side of the room, the extra thick creaminess of Buttercream!
