MY YANKEE CANDLE DIARY : MOROCCAN ARGAN OIL, TURQUOISE SKY, WILD PANSIES, PINK SANDS and many more! (2 weeks ending 4th May)

A two weeks- in -one bonanza this time around as I’ve had to sneak in some burns that I can’t tell you about yet…. but I will be able to reveal all tomorrow at midnight. Yes, for those of us in the UK it is a Yankee Candle TSV (Today’s Special Value) event on QVC on May 7th starting at midnight – and I’ll be right here with a special blog review of the extra special Yankee Candle release, while Rosa is launching the product on TV!

Back to the present though and it has been a mixed bag of warm sunny weather, colder weather and rain too – so a chance to really explore all worlds of springtime Yankee Candle fragrances! Let’s begin..

White Gardenia started my fortnight with its lovely crisp scent of gardenia blooms.

Perennial favourite Vanilla Lime followed, with it unusual blend of sharp citrus and vanilla creaminess.

Beach Wood is delightful with its soft, aromatic, almost oily notes.

French Lavender is a rich lavender scent which always relaxes.

Morrocan Argan Oil will whisk you away to any exotic location your imagination cares to conjure up. I just love its oily, rich notes.

Meadow Showers is a warm, showery weather favourite. It is like stepping outdoors after the rain in springtime.

Pink Sands is another that jets you off to that holiday destination of your dreams. You don’t need to travel though as its delicious creamy, fruity fresh notes come to your home.

Lemon Lavender is the perfect wake up candle and will always put a spring in your step for a new day.

A first burn of Wild Pansies was a treat. It is very strong and has an elegant perfume. This one has been a surprise hit in our household.

Into week two and Midnight Jasmine is just so gorgeous for any evening with its authentic jasmine  notes.

Grapevine & Oak has that deliciously rich feel of a vineyard with a woodsy undertone. This one takes  me back into history in my imagination, it feels almost Elizabethan.

Waikiki Melon has a lovely warmed melon feel, like a fruit cocktail on a summer’s day. Delish!

Black Coconut gives a classy, perfumed, warmed coconut fragrance and is always a delight.

New scent for 2015 Aloe Water has become another favourite of mine to start the day with. The lovely fresh feel of aloe with a delicate undertone of melon, it is really lovely.

Camouflage was a surprise as it was a lot softer than I imagined from its cold smell. A soft grassy greenness slowly seeps across the room you burn it in.

Pink Lady Slipper is always a unique treat. Such a delicate, sweet, slightly floral perfume – there is not much similar to it in the Yankee Candle range.

Coastal Waters is great for a rainy day with its sea salt tartness in amongst watery notes.

A Child’s Wish in a votive was my contribution to the ‘First Sunday Of The Month Burn’ hosted by Ann on our TEAM YANKEE Facebook group, where the theme was a green or orange candle. Why not join us for next month?

Pink Dragonfruit is great to pep up an evening. It gives a youthful fruity feel to your surroundings.

And finally a public holiday in the UK for Monday so the ultimate springiness of Loves Me Loves Me Not was a great way to start the day.

Into the afternoon and evening Turquoise Sky gave a bright blue feel as the weather changed from sunshine to rain.

Phew – that’s my catch up. Don’t forget I’ll see you on here tomorrow at midnight and all through the 7th May for a special review of the latest Yankee Candle TSV on QVC!
