Pink Sands
to kick things off last week. I never get tired of this lovely fresh, slightly
creamy and fruity fragrance.
We used our
last Sweet Honeysuckle votive next. Not sure if we’ve still got a tart or two
stashed away somewhere. Anyway, Sweet Honeysuckle is one of those sweet florals
that Yankee do – and this one is a hit. It smells like walking into a honeysuckle
garden with a bag of sticky sweets in your hand!
The lush and
deliciously strong Lavender Vanilla was next. When Yankee Candle do a vanilla
blend the results are often exceptional – this one is no different. Utterly
stunning and something you wouldn’t quite imagine scent wise from its two key
ingredients.
Sicilian
Lemon had one of its lighter burns. Couldn’t pick up much of its bittersweet
lemon this time around. It really doesn’t battle well against any other aromas
or heat this one!
Fresh Cut
Roses kicked off the weekend and with roses in full bloom in the garden,
nothing could be more delightful than this true to life scent.
On Friday
night I had Midsummer’s Night on, while my wife had Bahama Breeze on in another
room. No we weren’t arguing! I was watching an old rock concert and she was
watching Big Brother. I love Midsummer’s Night so much that I bought the
perfume (for the uninitiated it is based on Drakkar Noir). Walking through the
living room and getting the delicious fruity sea aroma of Bahama Breeze was a
delight too.
It
threatened rain on Saturday morning and the lovely rich watery fresh aroma of
River Valley helped build the atmosphere.
With Sage &
Citrus melting its delicious scent in the living room, I had the luxuriousness
of Mountain Lodge in my movie room with James Bond!
For the
evening we had the delicious smoky sweet notes of Fireside Treats.
Nothing on
Sunday as we were out all day and night, so a catch up on Monday starting with
the lovely revitalising Vanilla Lime.
And finally,
I really enjoyed the ultra strong Turquoise Sky wafting across the house. Such
a wonderful sharp, fresh, soapy scent!
