MY YANKEE CANDLE DIARY – BERRYLICIOUS, LAKESIDE BIRCH, MIDNIGHT JASMINE, GRANNY SMITH and more (2 we 27 Sep)

A quick two week burn catch up with lots of photos! I was away most of last week having a lovely time at the seaside (I got a tan – in late September – in the North West of England!). So off we go…

It was a cold start to the fortnight so I started to delve well into the more autumnal fragrances. Berrylicious with its yummy cakey blueberry and grape aroma was first.

Orchard Pear was next and this scent really captures the essence of autumn with its deep ripened pear aroma.

Tutti Frutti is always a treat but again I especially like it at this time of year. Just like smelling a bag full of mixed sweets, it whisks you back to childhood!

First time for a while for Salted Caramel next and it was as strong and delightful as ever. Just like walking around an autumn fun fair with sticky treats being cooked up all around you!

And then we hit a mild patch of weather which looks like it’ll go on for a while yet. So True Rose with its beautiful, distinct red rose aroma started Saturday (a week ago).

Evening Air followed for the night time and I just couldn’t pick it up this time around sadly. I think my aftershave was too similar!

Into Sunday week and Honeydew Melon gave a lovely bright yet gentle start to the day.

Honey Glow followed in the evening with its perfumed honey tinged notes.

On to Monday and a day working at home so Mountain Lodge gave my work environment that elegant feel.

Lake Sunset followed for the evening with its beautiful powdery notes – the perfect pre-holiday treat.

Our holiday break as ever was over too quickly but Midnight Jasmine welcomed us home with its stunning familiar fragrance.

Fruit Fusion warmed us into Saturday with its medley of sweet citrus.

Granny Smith followed for a first burn – and what an authentic aroma this one has!

Ghostly Treats took us through Saturday night and the debut switch on of our spookytown display.

Sicilian Lemon was a disappointment Sunday morning. Couldn’t really smell it wherever we located the jar. This scent does this sometimes – it can seem quite strong … or almost undetectable.

Lakeside Birch wrapped up my time off work as a special treat. We’d just come back from a walk looking at sun dappled birch trees – and there was even one by a pond! Its scent is stunning, so highly perfumed and bright.
