MY YANKEE CANDLE WEEK : FIRESIDE TREATS, COTTON CANDY, VANILLA SATIN and more (we 4 Oct)

Is it really October? As I sat basking in the sunshine outside yesterday with my sunglasses on it was hard to believe! But the calendar, darker evenings and Halloween decorations appearing in my household tell me otherwise.

I’m so excited about the Yankee Candle fan gathering we’re planning to hold later in the month. Not only are the lovely Yankee Candle Brand Ambassadors Rosa Speyer and Steven Corfield coming, but also lots of great people from our TEAM YANKEE Facebook group. I’ll be sure to give a write up on here in due course. It’s not too late if you think you might like to come, you can message me on Twitter or Facebook for further details.

Anyway candles….!

Vanilla Satin was the first jar burn of the week and it has such a luxurious and sophisticated air about it.

Amber Moon followed with its soft amber notes, perfect for those warmer evenings or even to inject a little cosy feeling into a colder night.

Egyptian Musk is a delightful new release in 2015 with its atmospheric muskiness (as you’d expect from its name!)

Tropical Fruit is a nice one for late summer/early autumn. Though the fruit aroma is decidedly tropical, it has that ripened feel about it.

Serengeti Sunset got my weekend off to a start with its beautiful, yet probably too subtle citrus and amber notes.

Country Heather gave a sharp breath of floral air on Friday night.

Saturday morning and what is better to wake up with than Pink Grapefruit? Both to eat and in the lovely aroma from Yankee Candle.

Buttercream followed and it really is just about the richest vanilla fragrance that Yankee do.

For the evening it was a first ever burn of Cotton Candy. Just as delightful as I imagined, it has that full on candy floss at a fun fair sweetness to it.

Water Garden saw in Sunday with its tranquil powdery floral aroma.

This was followed by Red Apple Wreath to go along with Ann’s First Sunday Of The Month burn on Team Yankee. The theme this time around was any red or pink candle and my wife picked out this one for an early festive treat. (Regular readers will realise this wasn’t my choice this early in the season lol).

And finally to wrap things up with its sticky sweet smokiness, the delightful Fireside Treats.

See you soon!
