Well, February 2019 had it all - four seasons and a nasty cold for me to start the month. Did that stop me picking out 29 highlights from February though? No! Something old, something new, none borrowed and let's start with something blue...
Berrylicious is nearing the end of the jar, but its cakey blueberry goodness is still a real treat. Always a good strong thrower this one.
It's all kitty cat with Whiskers On Kittens! I love the warm, comforting aroma of this scent.
Fireside Treats is welcome all year round. It's smoky marshmallow goodness never disappoints!
Vanilla Bourbon will never be my favourite Yankee Candle but I'm learning to accept it. A super strong, super sweet scent laced with a toffee bourbon flavour.
Treehouse Memories is a Yankee classic and its musty, damp aroma is great for rainy days. This is my only ever jar of it!
One of my all time favourites is the cosy, luxurious rich creamy perfume of Mountain Lodge.
A welcome burn for Vanilla Satin. Surely the most flamboyant of Yankee Candle's vanilla scents.
Sicilian Lemon is just perfect. The air is filled with a hint of slightly bitter lemons - a great fragrance for spring.
A rare burn for Cozy Sweater. Even though this is a light fragrance, it is just beautiful. This time around it threw really well.
Yankee Candle's Scent Of The Year is a grower and it is coming into its own on sunny days with its elegant floral tinged perfumed bouquet.
Honey Clementine is a good strong warming hit of orangey fragrance. Sharper than Spiced Orange and with honeyed sweetness, it is very pleasant.
Sunny mornings and the feel of early spring wouldn't be complete without the divine Aloe Water. It's cucumbery, melon tinged aroma is just superb.
Blush Bouquet, one of the new Sunday Brunch collection is another great morning fragrance. It reminds me of the original Yankee Candle Cherry Blossom fragrance on burning, mixed with pink petals.
Crackling Wood Fire has become a real disappointment to me. One of the very few Yankee Candle scents that is just too weak throw wise to get anything decent from it. It has a lovely aroma, there's just not enough of it.
No such problems with the classic Pink Lady Slipper. A heady, pink floral scent that is worth every bit of its legendary reputation.
Vineyard is another super strong scent. A slightly sweet, very strong aroma of dark grapes.
True Rose will be missed by thousands now that it's retired. One of the cleverest Yankee Candle scents ever produced as it perfectly captures the aroma of a red rose.
Vanilla Chai with all of its spicyness is my go to scent with a takeaway.
Blue Satin Sashes is a great scent for a sunny morning. It is so great to get back to some of these spring favourites of mine now that the days are brightening up a bit. This is a good strong, "just got the washing in" kind of fragrance.
Black Cherry is many people's favourite Yankee Candle and who am I to argue?!
We've just finished watching this excellent documentary series. As the allies persevered, this candle seemed a fitting burn.
Another welcome return for one of the most refreshing Yankee Candle scents - Lavender. Another candle with a good, strong throw.
Moroccan Argan Oil always whisks you off to more exotic places in your imagination. A terrific aroma that perfectly captures the smell of argan oil.
Sparkling Lemon is always amazing - you can smell the fizz!
Sugar Cookie Martini is a great 'end of the week' burn treat. A creamy, rich aroma which smells just like a martini!
Sunshine, more sunshine and the spicy banana goodness of Paradise Spice!
Fireside is a year round favourite of mine. It smells just like a firey aftershave.
Another I haven't burned in a while is Tropical Fruit. I stick by my opinion of this one which is that is smells like a bowl of slightly overripe fruit.
And to finish off February's diary, the beautiful "just cleaned" freshness of the super strong Lemon Lavender.
Back soon with some more burns!
