Spring has sprung, the lovely month of March! Well to tell you the truth it hasn't been the warmest, but it could have been colder and wetter I suppose. Anyway the best thing about Spring for me is the opportunity to try some new Yankee Candle scents and bring out some old favourites.
This month's STAR PERFORMER was Willow Breeze. The strongest, freshest, slightly soapy heavenly scent!
I have tried new Elevation scent Sugared Wildflowers a couple of times. It has a really, really strong throw and a heady floral aroma tinged with sugary sweetness. Quite a unique fragrance this one.
It's end of the line for our jar of Vanilla Satin. It's sweet, luxurious vanilla has been a delight for a good few years. Fortunately we have another jar!
A bit of James Bond and the exotic Midnight Oasis. A great combination!
Vanilla Bourbon is growing on me, a really strong heady sweet vanilla scent laced with bourbon!
No rainbows on the day I burned Rainbow's End, but it went with the windy atmosphere. A lovely, fresh clean scent with such a unique fragrance.
And we tried a Woodwick for the first time in a long time. Fireside packs a real punch throw wise. Theses candles now marketed by Yankee Candle pool really quickly. The flame was a little wild for me though and I'll need to be careful with potential sooting.
God Bless America has been a favourite of mine over the past few months. The brown sugar covered apples have a real homely aroma.
Sicilian Lemon is great at this time of year. Its slightly bitter lemon aroma always makes you think of sunshine!
Sage & Citrus is one of those classic delights that is so much more than its name. A great masculine aftershave type aroma.
And then there is the fresh pizazz of Spirit Of America - I have really enjoyed this fragrance!
Sugar Cookie Martini takes you back to all the fun of the festive season, but its alcoholic twist means that it can be enjoyed at any time of the year.
Whiskers on Kittens met its match when the lucky cat came to town!
Spring to me in a candle is the original Yankee Candle blend of Cherry Blossom. It has such a beautiful powdery sweet aroma and I've burned it a few times this month.
And here's proof that Yankee Candle's scent of the year indeed glows in the dark!
I just love lavender in any Yankee Candle fragrance. Lavender Vanilla is no exception - this smells like a million dollars!
A first burn of Sweet Morning Rose from the Sunday Brunch collection. This slightly sweet fresh rose scent has a good strong throw.
A true classic - the warming charm of Black Cherry!
A last burn this season for the winter classic Macintosh Spice. A beautiful cinnamony, spiced apple scent.
The peach pie aroma of Peach Cobbler and a beer - bliss!
Nothing starts the day like Lemon Lavender - heavenly!
Another first burn of a new Elevation scent, Sunlight Sands. It has a lighter throw than many of the Elevation range and the aroma is like a stroll on a summery sandy beach - fresh and beautiful!
One of my all time top fragrances Evening Air, never disappoints with its high end aftershave-like aroma.
A welcome return to the burn diary for the beautiful Pink Sands. I always find this scent goes nicely with an exotic, spicy meal.
A sunny day and the beautiful true floral aroma of Champaca Blossom.
Grapevine & Oak has the smoky sweet aroma of green grapes and wood.
Exotic Bloom is the most heady perfumed floral - a true stunner!
And to finish this diary off, my first burn of a scent from the USA vintage wine collection. Merlot didn't disappoint with its stunning true dark grape aroma!
