Please tell
us a bit about you
Hello
Everybody! My name is Kelly Wynn. I am married to Andy (it's almost our 13th
wedding anniversary!). We have 4 beautiful children, Mollie 11, Phoebe 8,
Joshua 6 and Freya 3. I live in Swindon, but I'm originally from Reading. I
work an occasional shift as a Staff Nurse in a hospice. My other hobbies
include jigsaw puzzles and cross stitch, although as a busy mum I don't get
much time for these! My dream is to go on a tour of America.
How did your
Yankee Candle obsession start and when?
My Yankee
Candle obsession began when I was given a small jar of Winter Wonderland with a
shade and tray set as a christmas present from my son and Husband for christmas
2010. It's only really been the last year that my collection has really grown!
Can you tell
us a bit about your collection (number, type, oddities etc)
I like to
burn/melt seasonally and organise my accessories seasonally also. I have
boxfuls of accessories which I really enjoy organising each season. My
favourites have to be the Halloween and festive ones. My current collection
consists of 148 large jars, 33 medium jars, 11 small jars, 20 tumblers of
various sizes, over 400 melts, around 50 samplers and numerous boxes of tea
lights. I also have a collection of rare/retired melts and samplers, around 200
of these. I am trying to build up my collection of USA large jars and currently
I have 16.

Are you a
collector, a burner or both?
I burn and
collect Yankee Candles. I like to collect large jars for my cabinet but will
burn a large jar if I have a duplicate of it. I tend to use melts/tea lights
during the day around school runs, and light my jars in the evenings and at
weekends.
What is your
favourite Yankee and why?
I have 5 top
favourites - Clean Cotton, Soft Blanket, Sparkling Lemon, Winter Wonderland and
Red Berry & Cedar. I love these because they were some of the first
fragrances I tried. They're all guaranteed to put a smile on my face! I tend to
prefer the fruity and fresh fragrances.
If you could
suggest one unmade scent to Yankee what would it be?
I can't
really think of an unmade scent that I'd like to invent. There are some I'd
love, but they've already been made for the American market, for example the
biscuity ones.
Which Yankee
Candle do you wish was brought out of retirement?
If I could
have one fragrance brought out if retirement it would have to be Autumn Fruits.
I love everything about it - the beautiful deep purple coloured wax, the gorgeous
label, and of course the wonderful fruity smell. I think that's why I'm very
pleased to own Seasons Blessings.
What was the
last candle you bought/ were given?
My latest
additions to my collection are Seasons Blessings (US one from Q3 2012) which is
an early anniversary present from my husband, and the artisans from QVC.
Thanks
Kelly!
