…And Rosa’s back - her last
Yankee Candle shows as a single woman too!
On with the shows…
We had a saturday afternoon
slot with Miceal Murphy and a late night offering with Craig Rowe as Rosa
steered the Yankee ship through both!
The Autumn Artisan
collection of Falling Leaves, Cider and Autumn Celebration featured prominently
in both shows, but as I covered them in detail in my last QVC review (SEE HERE), we’ll skip right on to some of the other lovely goodies that were on
offer.
Prolonging summer were the
two Cool Pops collections with a tray. Rosa noted Mango and Nectarine is like
being back on the beach or back by the pool oh holiday while Melon and Lime is
bright and uplifting.
Star of the shows was the
formal launch of the Q3 Autumn large jar collection – Lake Sunset, Salted
Caramel and Vanilla Chai. Rosa said that Lake Sunset gives a serene feeling of
standing on the side of a lake and watching the sun come down. Vanilla Chai she
described as having much spice with cinnamon and clove and that it brings an
early festive feeling. Finally Salted Caramel is rich and indulgent with its
notes of sugar and vanilla. (See my detailed review on the Q3 fragrances HERE).
Another treat was a pairing
of USA import Golden Sands with Fireside Treats with Rosa pointing out the
ideal pairing as both are warming and indulgent fragrances.
Rosa in action with Miceal
It’s always fun with Craig
Rowe on Yankee Candle shows as he is such big fan – and the late night show was
no exception! There was a great one time only offer of 18 votives with two
holders including the rarely offered Wedding Day fragrance. Rosa noted its
Gardenia and white floral notes and that it is a very feminine girly fragrance
(but don’t let that put you off boys!)
Two pillar jars of the ever
popular Clean Cotton and Soft Blanket saw Craig getting excited and he
reminisced about how Clean Cotton always takes him back to boyhood and wah days
during the summer holidays. About Soft Blanket, Rosa suggested it could be good
in a guest bedroom as it is warming and comforting.
The autumn fragrances were
also offered as tea lights this time including November Rain as well. Lovely
sentiment from Rosa as she said it was like going for a walk in the rain – but without
having to leave the house!
QVC shows wouldn’t be half
as much fun without some Yankee Army shout outs and Susan got an early mention
for her burning of French Lavender to extend the holiday feeling and Jill got a
late mention for her amazing collection of USA tarts!
Great stuff as ever and
Steven Corfield is back on the 26th with 3 shows at 11am, 5pm and
10pm.
It just remains for me to
say – good luck to Rosa and have an absolutely fabulous wedding xx
