BURN REVIEW – SALTED CARAMEL, HAPPY HALLOWEEN, FARMER’S MARKET & More

Halloween week plus a week off work meant lots of fun Yankee Candle burning!

Started the week with the delicious fragrance of Apple Cider, its sweet yet slightly tart notes blending well with the evenings drawing in.

Early Sunrise was lovely as ever first thing in the morning. Having tried many different early morning candles in the Yankee Candle range, Early Sunrise is by far my favourite. Its clean lemoniness is bright, yet gentle enough to welcome you into any day.

My James Bond film candle of choice is always First Down. Its beautiful, subtle, polished leather smell brings a touch of class to your room.

Then it was a Halloween frenzy with Yankee Candles accompanying us through the 31st October along with a bevy of Horror films. Candy Corn was as delicious as ever to open proceedings but it was Salted Caramel that was a big hit on our Halloween. Its rich, strong flavour is perfect for any autumn celebration. You can picture yourself at a carnival or outdoors gathering on an autumn night breathing in the scents of freshly warmed sweet treats.

Witches Brew is always a must, particularly when Michael Myers is around…

..And Happy Halloween is lovely. It has that sweet yet tangy aroma of aniseed but it is never overpowering. Sure to be a favourite in our household for years to come.

You can definitely feel the pull of the darker evenings penetrating now that the clocks have wound back and a treat of Macintosh Spice was the first dip into our Christmas cupboard. A spicy, apple tinged taster of what’s to come..

Our Sandalwood Vanilla large jar seems to be losing its punch slightly. After a bright first few uses, I can’t seem to get much scent from the jar at the moment. It was at its strongest just as I blew it out and I then caught that lovely woody mixed with vanilla fragrance. Anyone else experienced scentless patches in their candles?

Lemon Lavender freshened up the whole house on Sunday morning after a late night out on Saturday (that’s us – not the candle!)

…and bringing the week to a close was the absolutely scrumptious Farmer’s Market. A heavenly blend of rich fruits all gathered in from the harvest – delectable!
