MY CHRISTMAS YANKEE CANDLE PLANNER - DAY BY DAY TO CHRISTMAS DAY!

This is to be my first Yankee Candle Christmas! Well pre Christmas at least, as it all really started for me in the sales last year after the festive season. Hard to believe, 130 or so Yankee Candle jars and a couple of hundred blog posts later, that in calendar terms at least, I’m still so new to the hobby!

So it’s been burning (ahem) in the back of my mind all year that I needed to do something special for Christmas. I’m a huge Christmas fan and so is my wife and we have been known to go a little over the top in the past (yes, a bit like at Halloween!) and really and truly… Yankee Candle comes to life at Christmas.

Hand on heart everyone, the Christmas fragrances are the best, aren’t they? Sooooo Yankee Candle AND Christmas for the first time should be fantastic.

I talked over the weekend to some of the Yankee Army that I’d drafted a Christmas burning plan and a few were intrigued, so … here’s a blog about it. And I’m sure this may be used in evidence to question my sanity in future, but us addicts know what it is like!

So my idea was to compile a plan to burn every single one of my festive (and festive atmosphere) candles during my time off over the Christmas period.

For us, Christmas culminates on Christmas Day. We turn right off afterwards and not a light or a tree gets turned on after the 25th! So my plan has to finish in spectacular fashion on Christmas day.

Problem number 1 – toooo many candles. No, that’s not true, you can never have too many Yankee Candles! But for this exercise I’ve had to extend the period by taking all my days off from mid December so that every fragrance gets used.

So the below is list is a DRAFT only, but it includes every festive type fragrance I have (in jar format). I will undoubtedly use some before, during and after Christmas – but I wanted to use each once during the key build up time.

Here’s a photo of our bursting at the seams Christmas Yankee cabinet (with spaces ready for newbies Gingerbread and North Pole) – and eagle eyed readers may remember me sniffing my way through the cabinet in July along with some ‘Christmas in July’ features.
