QVC continue
to up their game when it comes to Yankee Candle
bringing more and more USA release and harder to find fragrances to customers and
Yankee Candle fans in the UK. I hear the
trend is likely to continue, so watch out for some further so far undisclosed
USA only fragrances hitting QVC throughout 2014!
TSV day is
always fun on QVC, especially when it’s Yankee Candle. This one was extra
special though as not only was it the first of 2014 featuring some new release
USA fragrances, but it also starred both Yankee Candle Brand Ambassadors Steven
Corfield and Rosa Speyer hosting separate shows – and even (swoon!) both
appearing together in the final presentation of the day.
Anyway, the
TSV itself was pretty spectacular…
A 53 piece
set featuring two USA only new releases (Exotic
Bloom and Luau Party) plus Under The Palms – a brand new release in Europe. The
set featured both votives and tea lights. (The official descriptions of the new
USA Exclusive releases were featured in an earlier blog HERE.)
As only they
can, Rosa and Steven brought the fragrances to life during the day with their
evocative descriptions :
Under The
Palms – “Like a lighter, breezier version of Vanilla Lime”, “Has underlying
coconut notes”, “Lying in a hammock with the greenness from the palms blowing
on you while you have coconut oil on your skin”
Luau Party –
“Sunshine on a rainy day”, “Fizzy peaches with an undercurrent of orange”, “Like
a non alcoholic cocktail”
Exotic Bloom
– “Like the retired fragrance Beautiful Day”, “Brings to mind thoughts of an
iconic sophisticated woman swishing past
wearing a heady perfume like Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe”, “Decadent and
glamorous”
The TSV was
really popular with 1400 sets sold in the first hour of broadcast and thousands
more during the day.

Not only
this great product that but the TSV chance saw a chance to get the rest of the
year’s release on auto delivery – with USA only fragrances to the fore again!
As featured
in an earlier sneak peek – I can now clarify which are intended for a wider
European release and which are USA exclusives (according to the QVC
broadcasts)
The summer
release (to be shipped in April) features Citrus Tango and Margarita Time plus a USA exclusive of
Coconut And Vanilla Bean.
The autumn
release (shipped in July) features all USA fragrances Silver Birch, Cranberry
Pear and Berrylicious.

Finally the
Christmas release (shipped in October) again features all USA fragrances Hot
Buttered Rum, Winter Garden and Warm Chestnut.
Details have
yet to be uncovered of what Yankee Candle are releasing in Europe for the
Autumn and Winter of 2014. The UK and Europe Summer 2014 release detail is

Lots of
other products were made available during the day including a lovely duo of
Black Coconut and Midnight Oasis large jars which sold out in minutes and another
duo of Under The Palms and new USA fragrance Ocean Star in large jars which
also sold out quickly.
It was good
to see the return of the Exotic Escape Large Jar selection (Turquoise Sky, Waikiki Melon and Black
Coconut) at a fantastic price and the pillar versions of Turquoise Sky and
Sparkling Lemon also looked a treat!
All the QVC
hosts did well on the shows, but a special mention must go to the lovely Julia
Roberts who was at the helm for many of them. Julia also had the special honour
of hosting the last show on Sunday night which had a real treat for all Yankee
Candle fans as for the first time ever – Steven and Rosa were on screen
together for part of the show!
