MY YANKEE CANDLE DIARY : FRENCH LAVENDER, BLACK COCONUT, MANDARIN CRANBERRY + more (week ending 16 Feb)

Another week to batten down the hatches as the storms returned to the UK with a vengeance, only then for a glimpse of spring to arrive at the end of the week. Can we be over the worst now? I even did a bit of gardening on Sunday!

Black Coconut kicked off the week to bring some fantasy of warmth indoors. Its rich, creamy blend is even for those who aren’t fans of coconut – I was converted for one!

Harking back to December with a dash of Sparkling Cinnamon next. I must admit I don’t like this as much as Cinnamon Stick, as it’s a softer scent – still lovely though.

Bahama Breeze was perfect for a bit of ‘smellscaping’ with tv series Lost! One of my all time favourites, it is an exotic fruity blend reminiscent of being in a lush fruit grove by the sea. Perfect for Lost then!

As the storms raged outside, Salted Caramel brought some inner warmth and comfort to the house on Friday.

Then onto a Willow Breeze tart that filled the house with zest to kick off Saturday before a day out.

So no more burning until Sunday which was the first real springlike day of 2014. French Lavender with its warm lavender tones suited perfectly on the conservatory.

...And keeping things toasty into the evening was Mandarin Cranberry. The Mandarin always wins out in this tangy fragrance.
