While the wind roars through the trees outside and I sit
here with a lovely Yankee Candle Willow Breeze tart melting to give a fresh,
yet fragrant atmosphere to the house, I thought I’d write a few words about
last night’s rather special Yankee Candle TV show on QVC.
Sadly I missed the morning show with Craig Rowe (work, don’t
you know!) but after battling back from the Midlands following hours of train
delays, I was settled down for the 10 o’clock show with Brand Ambassador Rosa
Speyer and The Silver Fox – QVC regular Dale Franklin.
There’s always something special about the weekend evening
shows, maybe because the vino is flowing in Yankee Candle fans households – but
also it was Valentine’s Day … plus it was the first time QVC had brought the
brand new Yankee Candle spring fragrances to screen in a variety of formats and
ways to buy.
First up 72 tea lights featuring the new release fragrances
Champaca Blossom, Pink Hibiscus and Lovely Kiku
They were also available as a selection of 30 samplers
(votives), but best of all in large jars and for a fab price!
Lovely Kiku – “A sweet floral with notes of Cherry Blossom”
Champaca Blossom – “with musky, vanilla notes”, “a soft yet
slightly fruity floral”
Pink Hibiscus – “bracing and effervescent”, “the brightest
and the sharpest of the new fragrances”

Some really other lovely products were on offer such as a
large shade with a jar of Wedding Day, a one time only special offer of melts
and samplers and an essential care kit featuring a wick trimmer, illuma lid and
a snuffer – a Yankee Candle fan’s must haves!
Dale made the show extra special with tons of interaction
with Yankee Candle fans tweeting in. Ben had multiple mentions (is it a café
though?), Julie, Diane, LittleAppleDol, Phil and tons of others! Oh and thanks
to Rosa for remembering my travel woes that
afternoon – bless you!
