YANKEE CANDLE 2019 - Scheduled Releases

Here’s what we know so far about 2019 planned releases for the UK and EU on one page! Next month is always shown first, previous months shown at the bottom of the page.

These are new (and when known) returning scents. 

September

Limited Edition (selected retailers only - delayed until October)

Magical Unicorn

A sparkling sugar-crystal dream, with a rainbow of ripe fruit crowned by crowds of ripe vanilla cream.

Two new scents for Halloween  - Trick or Treat and Haunted Hayride. 

 available in large jar, votive and tea light formats.

October

The Alpine Christmas Collection 

available in all jar sizes, plus melts, votives and tea lights. Candlelit Cabin will also be available in a melt cup.

Candlelit Cabin - The warm glow of candlelight welcomes you to a winter retreat - rustic pine, warm spices and earthy notes fill the air.

Pomegranate Gin Fizz - A sparkling holiday drink - sweet pomegranate mingles with fresh citrus and cranberry - cheers!

After Sledding - The scent of tempting treats - sweet maple, baking spices and vanilla bean - offers a warm welcome after a day of winter fun.

Evergreen Mist - A peaceful walk through a snow-carpeted evergreen forest as the morning sun creates swirls of bracing mist.

Andy's first sniff thoughts : Candlelit Cabin is my initial favourite, a rich intoxicating festive warmth - everything you imagine christmas should be and a scent quite different to what Yankee Candle have done before. Pomegranate Gin Fizz is a lively fruity blend. After Sledding has that lovely christmas home baking and cakey aroma. Evergreen Mist is the smell of Christmas trees in an open forest.

Arctic Frost - Fresh eucalyptus carried on a peppermint breeze, softened by hints of lavender, rosemary and vanilla.

Holiday Garland - Swags of citrus and evergreen fit for the table - a crisp and zesty blend with layers of fresh mint, tarragon and rose. 

Andy's first sniff thoughts : Arctic Frost has a very pretty icy, minty feel. Holiday Garland has a deep, rich fruity green aroma.

Sunday Brunch collection (part 1)

**to note these labels are specially made for this collection - they will be available in all jar sizes, plus votives and melts.

Floral Candy - Colourful blossoms sparkling with sugar crystals and delicately placed upon delicious creamy frosting.

scent notes - top : spun sugar, peach nectar, redcurrant. mid : soft jasmine petals, elderflower, pink honeysuckle. base : sweet violet

Belgian Waffles - Light and airy, warm and golden brown - a crisp lattice cradling melted butter - the classic brunch favourite.

scent notes - top : toasted pecans, vanilla. mid : waffle batter, dash of cinnamon, melted butter. base : whipped cream

Blush Bouquet - Welcoming pink peonies, lilies and citrus blossoms in a bespoke bouquet fit for the centre of the table.

scent notes - top : cherry blossom. mid : peony, sweet pea, lily. base : amber

Sweet Morning Rose - A pretty pink confection garnished with delicate rose petals - an artistic, sweet finale

scent notes - top : pear blossom, sparkling rose water. mid : sugared rose petal, lily, ylang ylang. base : powdery musk, marshmallow

Andy's first sniff thoughts : Blush bouquet seems like a lovely pink mix floral. Belgian Waffles smells amazing - a deep baked dripping mix of butter, more savoury than sweet. Fans of the much missed Salted Caramel will love Belgian Waffles. Floral Candy is like sugar frosted flowery fancies and Sweet Morning Rose has a lovely, authentic, almost watery rose aroma.

Elevation collection (additions)

Sun Warmed Meadow - A sun-kissed meadow path stretching to the horizon with dry reeds rustling and a warm welcome in the air.

Passionflower - The rare heady scents of night-blooming flowers - a passionate mix that's inspiring and uplifting

Andy's first sniff thoughts : Sun-Warmed Meadows has a lovely gentle warming feel over floral notes. Passionflower has all the great atmosphere of an expensive floral perfume.

February 

Seaside Woods - Surround yourself in cosy intrigue - driftwood mingles with brilliant citrus and floral notes for the perfect coastal escape.

scent notes - top : orange blossom, cool citrus. mid : sweet alyssum, acacia. base : cotton wood, driftwood

Andy's first sniff thoughts : A bit more aftershave like than I expected, this brings back memories of Yankee Candle's Beach Wood fragrance.

March 

Easter collection

Available in large jar format

Easter Basket - A joyful jaunt on Easter morning, with a heady mix of dewy grass and wet woods, sweetened by the promise of fruity jelly beans and bright bouquets.

Rainbow Shake - A sophisticated sugar rush - juicy, sparkling fruits blended with sweet vanilla, finished with whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles and berry drizzle.

Moonlit Blossoms - A moonlit stroll with rich floral and berry notes takes an enchanting turn with mysterious, warm amber. (for picture and range availability see above under 'February')

Andy's first sniff thoughts : Moonlit Blossoms is another that reminds me of an elegant ladies perfume. A lovely floral bouquet that somehow captures the evening atmosphere.

Berry Bliss (limited edition) - A juicy mixture full of fruit and ripe berries complemented with sweet fig and plum

April

White Strawberry Bellini - A blissful brunch companion - sweetened by mango and pineapple, swirled with strawberry in a sophisticated libation.

Honey Lavender Gelato - A refreshing lavender treat that's bursting with flavour and topped with cool berry and warm honey.

Grilled Peaches & Vanilla - Caramelised brown sugar and golden honey drizzled over juicy grilled peaches and garnished with vanilla cream.

Andy's first sniff thoughts : Honey Lavender Gelato smells like a light lavender treat with touches of sweetness. Grilled Peaches & Vanilla remarkably captures that baked peach feeling. White Strawberry Bellini is just like an exotic fruit cocktail.

Sugared Wildflowers - An eclectic bouquet of wildflowers with pops of lavender and cool eucalyptus - sweet and enticing.

Sunlight Sands - Turn your face to the sun, warm and bright with blooming jasmine on the breeze.

Andy's first sniff thoughts : Sugared Wildflowers is very sweet, but you can smell the eucalyptus bursting through. Sunlight Sands is stunning on first sniff - a warming twist on a floral, it smells like a very expensive fragrance.

May

Alfresco Afternoon - A picnic in the shade, surrounded by wildflowers and juniper buds with just a touch of nectarine swirling in the breeze. (for picture and range availability, see 'February' above).

scent notes - top : fresh air accord, eucalyptus. mid : nectarine blossom, aromatic juniper. base : conifer leaves, woody notes

Andy's first sniff thoughts :  Could be a light fragrance but the fruit and woodsy green notes combined give the ambience of munching an orange under a tree in the summer.

Limited Edition

Turquoise Glass - Glittering turquoise water ripples over coveted sea glass as the warm breeze carries in exotic floral notes.


scent notes - top : iced watermelon, peach tea. mid : sea breeze, tiare flower, freesia. base : musk, white cedarwood.

Market Blossoms - A wonderful gathering of scents straight from a morning at the farmer's market – fresh, happy blossoms and ripe berries bursting with flavour.

scent notes - top : bergamot, strawberry, raspberry. mid : muguet, apple, mandarin blossom. base : sandalwood, white patchouli, vanilla.

July

The Farmer's Market Collection 

available in all jar sizes, plus melts, votives and tea lights. Dried Lavender & Oak will also be available in a melt cup.

Dried Lavender & Oak - Hand tied bunches of lavender mingle with the woodsy scents and spices of an outdoor farmer's market.

Golden Chestnut - Grab a scoop of warm chestnuts roasted with ground spices, woodsy herbs and a touch of citrus.

Ciderhouse - The ultimate autumn harvest treat. Freshly pressed apples, lightly spiced and ready to sip.

Sweet Maple Chai - An overflowing mug of chai-spiced milk and maple syrup swirled to creamy perfection.

Andy's first sniff thoughts :  Dried Lavender & Oak is my initial favourite, a real sun warmed woody lavender scent. Golden Chestnut has a slightly spiced nuttiness. Ciderhouse has that classic autumnal apple cider fragrance. Sweet Maple Chai will divide opinion, it has a rich spicy chai aroma sweetened with hints of maple and sugar.

Fig & Clove - The heady sweetness of fresh fig, deepened by the warmth of cloves and pepper.

Tonka Bean & Pumpkin - A warm and woodsy blend that evokes smoky tendrils of incense, carrying hints of spice, vanilla and baked pumpkin.

Andy's first sniff thoughts : Fig & Clove is a very sweet fig fragrance. Tonka Bean & Pumpkin is a wonderful fiery, incense like pumpkin scent.

Scent Of The Year 2019 - One Together -  The recreated scent of the rare Miracle Flower - a luscious floral wrapped with soft woods, suede, and amber - with inviting notes of mandarin, nectarine, and sandalwood.

scent notes - top : mandarin, black pepper, nectarine. mid : miracle flower, star jasmine, gilly flower. base : suede blush, sandalwood, amber.

So that’s what we know so far, but as it is the 50^th anniversary of Yankee Candle in 2019 – expect some more big surprises!
