May is always a great month for Yankee Candles. You are nearly always assured of some early summer-like days and plenty of proper springtime too, so plenty of Yankee Candle choice to complement the weather. I lost two weeks due to a particularly nasty bout of flu so there aren't quite as many different scents as usual, even though I've tried to make up for it since!

This month's all round winner is the delightful Sweet Honeysuckle, accompanied by my super blooming Honeysuckle in the garden! This scent has a super strong floral throw and it is tinged with sweetness too. Dare I suggest it is one of the best ever Yankee Candle floral scents?
We were on holiday at the beginning of the month and Shoreline took me straight back there upon my return home (and that's just the stunning label). This unusual scent has aspects of the sea about it mixed with a subtle fruitiness.
Lilac Blossoms is always welcome in May and it is one of the strongest scented Yankee Candles ever released.
Tropical Fruit was another I burned after coming back from holiday. It certainly reminded me of all the delicious fresh fruits from my trip!
And then the two week gap! After recovering from illness Aloe Water was a lovely return to Yankee Candle. It's the perfect morning fragrance bar none.
Mountain Lodge is always a special treat for me as it is one of my very favourite scents. It smells just like the greatest luxury hotel or woodsy accommodation you can imagine!
Sage & Citrus has an unusual aftershave like quality to it and it is always a favourite in our house.
Alfresco Afternoon may be my favourite new scent of 2019 so far. This 3 wick edition that came exclusively via QVC gives a terrific throw.
The party grapefruit aroma of All Is Bright is great all year round. This is probably a farewell for it in my burn diary as we're planning to get this jar finished!
Spring is Loves Me Loves Me Not. The smell of cut grass mixed with florals, it is strong and divine!
Of course we get rain and storms in May. What better way to enjoy them than with Storm Watch. It perfectly captures that tingly anticipation of a storm on a spring day with flowers in the rain.
In my all time top 10 without a doubt is Meadow Showers - the perfect rainy day fragrance. It smells like lush, dewy grass.
I'm still enjoying Scent of the Year One Together. It is a very pretty floral based scent.
Sea Salt & Sage has a subtle aroma, but it is absolutely divine and just what its name promises.
Out comes the sun and let's dive Under The Palms with its unique smell of unripe young coconuts!
Garden Hideaway is another spring and summer favourite of mine and it's a lovely fresh and floral combination.
Honey Lavender Gelato is one of the latest Sunday Brunch Collection releases. On cold sniff this scent promised the world but its first burn was really disappointing. Virtually no aroma whatsoever. I'll try again but be warned this candle has a VERY light throw.
Beach Flowers on the other hand never disappoints. A great scent for transitioning from spring to summer.
Beach Wood is another long term favourite of mine. I love it's perfumed woodsy aroma.
Coconut & Vanilla Bean is the richest, strongest, lushest coconut fragrance Yankee have ever released!
After being a little harsh on Sugared Wildflowers in my last diary, we enjoyed it this month. A great one to burn with the windows open as it is very strong.
And a little treat with Margarita Time. I had forgotten how great this fragrance is. It has a real limey twist and you can actually smell the salt!
And to cap things off this time around, the absolute fresh lushness of Willow Breeze - a powerhouse of a scent!
Thanks for browsing - see you soon!
