My Yankee Candle Burn & Review Diary - June 2019

June wasn't exactly a summery month here in England, in fact for the most part it felt more autumnal. That was until the very end of the month when we got some of the hottest June days I can remember. All of this seasonal variety certainly helps with lots of Yankee Candles to choose from.

I've almost done a Heinz this month in terms of varieties! 46 different jar scents (and that doesn't include the use em up end of jars!). So let's go...

**** JUNE FAVOURITE ****

I give my favourite of the month award this time to Sun-Drenched Apricot Rose. I love this scent more and more each time I use it. Dare I say that it could well be my favourite Yankee Candle rose scent ever? It's just beautiful and with a nice strong throw too!

Loves Me Loves Me Not has an early summer feel to it and is very grassy. Just perfect on a rainy June day.

The soft creamy elegance of Champaca Blossom - one of the most  true to life floral scents that Yankee have produced.

Pink Hibiscus is another floral favourite and one of the few florals I find nice to enjoy in the evening.

Trying  to inject a bit of warmth into a cooler day, the stunning richness of Napa Valley Sun.

And another cooler evening so a touch of sweetened orange with this beauty!

Pink Lady Slipper is always fabulous with its slightly sweet pinky notes!

The end of our first jar of Paradise Spice - 100% spicy banana!

The cooling sea floral of Ocean Blossom!

And the stunning and much missed White Gardenia!

Dreaming of our next holiday with the beautiful sea blue mixed with light floral Riviera Escape.

Lavender Vanilla never disappoints - such a beautiful combination.

Amber Moon has a touch of the evening sun about it and is always welcome.

So with news that the first new Yankee collection of 2020 is called Garden Hideaway, this burn was prescient!

The stunning perfumed loveliness of Evening Air as dusk falls...

Vanilla Lime gives a special zip to the day whatever the weather...

A rare burn of our single jar of Oud Oasis. The beautiful aroma of Oud mixed with a soft creamy caramel.

Sea Harbour is a light fragrance but its slightly sweet sea aroma is stunning.

A true classic - True Rose!

Windblown is another favourite. It has the feel of swimming pools and cooler days at the beach.

A new jar of Water Garden - a truly exceptional Yankee Candle fragrance.

And more rain. The fresh just washed aroma of River Valley is perfect!

Vanilla Bourbon is a grower. Ridiculously strong, I focus on the lovely bourbon aroma rather than the slightly too strong vanilla richness.

And now for some peach. The ever present but hugely underrated Mango Peach Salsa...

....and the delightful warm richness of Summer Peach!

Beach Escape is a beautiful scent from the much missed Beachside collection.

I did better with Honey Lavender Gelato this month. Burning it in a cooler room, I could smell its creamy lavender deliciousness.

Blush Bouquet after a few burns is one of the more disappointing of this year's releases. It's a little too light and the pink floral fragrance although nice, is just simply that.

Then the blue water and tropical fruit medley of Bahama Breeze which never disappoints!

Lemon Lavender is another that truly refreshes the air whatever the season.

Sweet Morning Rose is one of my favourite new 2019 scents. A lovely ever so slightly sweet lovely rose fragrance.

Sunlight Sands is my first real disappointment in the Elevation range. It has virtually no aroma no matter where you burn it. A waste of its potential as it brought back some memories of Sun & Sand.

And there always comes a time to light a jar, even if it is your only one and even if it is old and rare. Dune Grass didn't disappoint and it whisks you off to that beach hideaway.

Madagascan Orchid is one of the best and most complex scents of recent years. A heady blend of florals with a touch of honeyed sweetness.

Warm Desert Wind is a lovely fragrance with an aroma that evokes thoughts just like its name.

A first ever burn of Moon On Their Wings and it didn't disappoint. An unusual aftershave type fragrance with hints of green mystery. Let's fly through the night sky...!

Egyptian Musk is a beautiful rich musk scent designed for those warmer nights.

My first burn for a while of one of my all time top 5 Yankee Candle fragrances. A new jar of the simply stunning Midsummer's Night.

Retiring this year, the slightly tart aroma of Sicilian Lemon will be missed!

Another of my favourites from this year the orangey, leafy aroma of Alfresco Afternoon.

Island Spa is like a spritzier version of Early Sunrise. Watery, fizzy lemon notes abound.

Grapevine & Oak is the most winelike Yankee Candle. A smoky green grape touched with woodsiness.

Margarita Time never disappoints. A lively lime based aroma and you can smell the salt!

Sage & Citrus has an unusual delicate almost aftershave like aroma.

Viva Havana is a smoky room filled with the scent of Oud - heaven!

And to finish this rather long June burn diary - let's relax with the coconutty beauty of Under The Palms!
