After only a couple of days break, it was back to QVC for two more
shows, this time with Steven Corfield as Brand Ambassador.
The afternoon broadcast was hosted by Catherine
Huntley from QVC and her easygoing manner and obvious enjoyment of Yankee Candle helped
make this a great show.
Early on a lovely 3 rose large jar set was offered
which sold out quickly due to the 9p only P&P (to celebrate 9 years of YC
on QVC).
Other highlights included a mixology set which allows
you to burn 3 votives at once and blend the scents together and also the USA exclusive
Lavender set was offered once again. Steven described the difference in this
pure Lavender scent as a 'back to basics Lavender with notes of Sage, Rosemary
and Heather'.
Also featured were the Coconut numbered tumblers
which offer a more designer look to Yankee Candle and the QVC birthday sampler
set was once again available.
The elegant Coconut mix tumblers...
Steven mentioned how easy it is to get addicted to Yankee Candles (don't
we know!) and the most interesting comment was in response to a viewer's
question about whether any 'orange' scents were available from Yankee. He
mentioned that an 'orange' candle would be brought back later in the year.
Surely not, THAT orange - would be too exciting for words! We'll just have to
wait and see...
Onto the evening show hosted by Debbie Flint. Just as good
but a livelier tone as Debbie's personality was at the forefront!
A one time only offer of samplers and melts kicked
things off followed by the lovely 'holiday escape' collection. Vanilla Lime
(described by Steven as being reminiscent of an American diner and enjoying a
smoothie), Beach Flowers and Paradise Spice - again, the set with only 9p
p&p.
The 'tea party' set was again promoted - large jars of
Camomile Tea, Red Velvet and Honey & Spice. Steven described Honey And
Spice as having a light spice with a bit of warmth and also it being quite a
masculine fragrance.
Lots of other goodies were shown including the
customer favourite sampler set, a Fresh Cut Roses collection and more.
The QVC Customer Favourites collection
One of the real highlights of the show was Debbie's
involvement of the Yankee Army - reading out tons of messages. Ben ,Ann, Julie
and others all got a shoutout and even a few mentions for Steven's Yankee
colleague Rosa Smith who was enjoying the programme too!
Another couple of great shows and Yankee Candle is
back on QVC in July.
Coming soon
I’ll be offline for a while …but the blog will be back!
