YANKEE CANDLE CATCH UP

Hello all. While after spending the best part of last week on holiday I thought I’d start back blogging with a little catch up and reminder on all things Yankee Candle!

Our holiday was in Scotland and we managed to find a few good Yankee Candle shops. If you ever find yourself north of the border, Glasgow is full of places to buy Yankee Candles. Two Clintons card shops plus an indoor market stall in a shopping centre were good, but best of all is Yankee Scotland in the Buchanan Galleries mall. Their stock is extensive and includes the Cool Pops range, Man Candles and other popular candles and accessories. Smelling 2x4 for the first time was an experience!

Onto Fort William and even deep in the Highlands there was a shop with a good Yankee Candle stock. Unusually in this gift shop, they still had some retired fragrances in votive and/or melt form – notably Early Sunrise and Beautiful Day.

Back to all things on line and make sure you enter the ‘Gromit’ competition on the official Yankee Candle website (www.yankeecandle.co.uk). £250 of candles available to the winner!

On Saturday night and through Sunday, our regular Yankee Candle TV home QVC had a special TSV day featuring various products. Yankee Candle was one of these and brand ambassador and QVC regular Steven Corfield was on board for three appearances. The TSV product was a floating tealight set which included 5 boxes of Yankee Candle tea lights.

Lots of blog entries to come over the next couple of weeks. This week there will be a double burn review plus Yankee Candle of the Day will be back – and lots more to follow.

Don’t forget the new Andy’s Yankees Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/AndysYankees) page. Please use it as you will. It can be a good place to discuss the latest bargains and also start discussions going that won’t get lost in the melee that is Twitter!

Also to keep you going while I write the next set of entries –  the growing Yankee Candle Index – which features all of the candles that have been in the Yankee Candle of the Day feature. Links include the official YC product descriptions, a photo plus customer and my own comments on each fragrance.

Finally, I have tried to keep the Yankee Candle retirements list for 2013 up to date. As ever please let me know of any errors and omissions.
