We’re
rapidly racing in towards that time of year again, when many of us can forget
our day to day problems for a few days and share in the joy that is the
Christmas season.
Yankee
Candle really comes into its own over Christmas and I find that scents I have
burned in previous years take me right back to that special time of joy from a
past festive time.
Yankee
Candle have released four new fragrances to join their core range for this
Christmas and these are available in most stores up and down the country.
The pick of
the bunch for me is the lovely Christmas Garland.
"The season
comes to life in this lush aroma of fresh-cut pine boughs and zesty
cranberries."
Christmas
Garland brings the aroma of those special fresh Christmas boughs and firs into
your home. So if you have a real tree already and you want to enhance the scent…
or if you plan on an artificial tree but love the true to life scent of a real
tree – Christmas Garland is the Yankee Candle for you.
The scent is
deep and rich and is that a touch of Eucalyptus I can detect in there? It is so
Christmassy, I can’t bring myself to burn it just yet – but come December this
will be a firm favourite in our house.
The label
depicts a decorated garland on a tree, but equally the scent brings to mind a
freshly placed wreath on your door or that lovely sprig of holly on the
mantelpiece.
The other
three scents released as part of the main Christmas range this year are :
Icicles - The
crisp, winter forest scent of ice covered pine branches with tingly notes of
spicy cinnamon.
To me this
is a fresh, sharp scent that does bring to mind an icy, fresh, clean day.
Angel’s
Wings - Spirits rise on this beautiful airy aroma of joyfully sweet spun sugar,
heavenly sheer flower petals and divinely smooth vanilla.
This is a
light, soft, elegant perfumed scent and
sure to appeal to those who don’t want anything too overpowering in their house.
Candy Cane
Lane - A favourite Christmas place where delicious dreams are made with tingly
peppermint, sweet cookies and creamy vanilla icing.
This is a
deep, rich, minty smell. It reminds me very much of classic mint imperial
sweets. Again when lit apparently it is quite light, giving a delicate
minty flavour to your surroundings.
