MY YANKEE CANDLE DIARY : FRANKINCENSE, RIVER VALLEY, TIKI BAR, LILAC BLOSSOMS and more (2 we 17th May)

Another two week catch up and spring gets into its stride in southern England with a typical mix of warm days and of course showery days too!  So a chance to get a good mix of Yankee Candle scents in.

Well finally, we’ve finished our first large jar. Blissful Autumn has gone to Yankee heaven, but the good news is we’ve got some more so watch out for that lovely scent making a reappearance in the blog later in the year.

Vanilla Cupcake always puts some warmth into colder evenings with its deliciously warming cakey notes.

Was a bit disappointed in Wedding Day this time around. I only picked up hints of its elegant floral bouquet. Hopefully I’ll get a nice strong throw of scent next time – always seems to be the way after a disappointing burn.

Fresh Cut Roses with its youthful rose aroma was a good choice as the first rosebuds begin to appear in the garden.

Tiki Bar arrived broken from my recent USA order. With a lot of mess and anguish we managed to chunk it up and fill the empty Blissful Autumn jar! As I had a replacement for the broken one, we were allowed a treat of burning this messy second one. Tiki Bar is full on pineapple creaminess! It is really lovely and totally reminds me of Pineapple mivvi ice lollies. (See my video review of this whole collection HERE).

Frankincense is such a delicious incensey aroma and a treat for any evening. Always gives an exotic, mystical feel when burned.

Spring has only just arrived and the lilac blooms are already disappearing, though when this picture was taken a week ago they were still in the background. The getting harder to find Lilac Blossoms is always the perfect accompaniment. Possibly Yankee Candle’s most authentic fragrance ever?

River Valley is perfect for any fresh, rainy day – that is just what the aroma brings to mind.

Sandalwood Vanilla is another scent that makes you think ‘luxury’. Its oily, vanilla notes give off a rich woodsy perfume.

Sunny days, warmer evenings and Pineapple Cilantro. This slightly sharper pineapple aroma is just delicious.

Country Heather has a good strong, fresh floral feel to it and goes really well at this time of year.

Wild Passion Fruit is always a favourite. It is a less sweet, fruity fragrance that almost has a powdery pepperiness to it.

Garden Hideaway is always such a delight with a garden in full growing mode around you. Even if you don’t have a garden, you can close your eyes and the aroma will transport you.

Mango Peach Salsa I haven’t used for a while. It is a lovely, fairly soft blend of mango and peach.

Champaca Blossom for me is one of the most authentic florals Yankee Candle do. It gives that real true to life slight bitterness that you can get with certain flowers. I love it.

Back soon with more!
