My Yankee Candle Burn Review and Diary - July & August 2019 - Over 40 different scents!

Hello, thanks for browsing my latest burn highlights diary! I've decided to go bimonthly with this going forward so there will be 6 a year which makes it a little more seasonal. July and August has been an unusual mix of cool, wet and very hot weather and the Yankee Candles I've burned have felt varied too! Here are some highlights....

The lovely Sea Salt & Sage is an elegant scent with just a hint of sage. It's perfect for a breezy or cooler day.

We've burned the classic Bahama Breeze a few times. A tropical cocktail on a sea breeze!

Vanilla Lime is always welcome with its unusual aroma. It's one of the longest standing scents in the core range and deservedly so!

Pink Lady Slipper has also had a few enjoyable burns this summer. It's lovely pink floral aroma is quite unique!

It's a shame we're losing Sicilian Lemon among this year's retirements, but there is still plenty of time to stock up on it before it completely disappears. It's tart, lemony aroma is always welcome in our house!

Pineapple Cilantro is never shy, with its sharp, yet creamy pineapple aroma!

The beautiful Midnight Jasmine is a staple of summer nights...

Citrus Tango must be one of the best Yankee Candle fruit blends ever, never disappoints!

I always enjoy my Friday night Yankee Candle with live music on my home cinema screen. For a hot night of 'Rush in Rio' Serengeti Sunset did the job!

Blush Bouquet is a lovely scent that reminds me of the original Yankee Candle Cherry Blossom mix.

Oud Oasis with its beautiful oud scent mixed with caramel is another summer evening treat!

Beach Garden is the unusual berry based scent from the missed 'Beachside' collection.

Summer Peach is a great, consistent peach scent!

One of my more recent favourites, the divine Vibrant Saffron. A touch of the much missed Frankincense about this one!

Riviera Escape has been on the go a lot this summer, one of the loveliest blue water / beach type scents.

I can't say much more than Midsummer's Night could well be my favourite Yankee Candle scent ever!

Warm Desert Wind is a beautiful scent that conjures up the desert and hot nights!

Pink Hibiscus worked great on our outside courtyard garden. Beautiful scent!

Aloe Water was great among our Hostas too!

Shea Butter is quite new to me and I'm really enjoying its creamy, spa beauty treatment like feel!

Sweet Morning Rose is another nice scent released earlier in the year. A beautiful and strong aroma of rose tinged with a slight watery sweetness.

Honey Lavender Gelato completes this burn diary's runthrough of Sunday Brunch scents. If you can find the right location for this one (it is a lighter thrower), it is super. A clever mix of lavender and sweet ice cream!

One of our first ever Yankee Candles, still going strong - Tutti Frutti!

The smell of lager shandy is perfectly captured in On Tap!

Island Spa is a lemony, tropical island treat!

And for a summer rain shower, Summer Storm hits the spot. A great unique and quite mystical fragrance!

Under The Palms is always lovely with its sweet coconut smell.

Another hit from this year is the picnic under the trees aroma of Alfresco Afternoon!

Moonlight as the sun sets - bliss!

Chardonnay is a light green grape aroma from the USA only vintage series. Very nice!

Salt Water Taffy is great for those late summer nights - love it. (It is also the scent  of the new Yankee Candle Mystical Unicorn if that floats your boat!)

Olive & Thyme is quite a unique scent because of its herb like notes. Love it!

And then there is the beautiful, mysterious Midnight Oasis. A softer twist on Midsummer's Night perhaps?

Windblown always reminds me of the smell of swimming pools, a great scent!

Wild Sea Grass has that authentic aroma of grassy sand dunes after rain - amazing!

Another Friday night and the beautiful Evening Air to accompany Lynyrd Skynyrd on a baking hot summer's day at Knebworth 1976!

I can't remember what movie I was watching with Sun-Kissed Thistle, but this is my favourite scent from last year!

So glad to have finally picked up Moon On Their Wings. Quite light but a truly unique scent with a creamy, cedar like twist.

Honey Glow always comes into its own during the late summer.

A rainy day and the lovely crisp blue Sea Harbour!

I haven't burned Lake Sunset in a while and this new jar is most welcome. Another that for me comes into its own during August.

There's nothing quite like the oily wood aroma of Beach Wood.

Just a hint of the season to come in the brown sugar tinged ripe apple aroma of God Bless America.

I was really looking forward to my first burn of Misty Mountains on a rainy night. It is pretty light, I look forward to trying it again (with more success!)

The return of hot days and the strawberry jam authenticity of Sweet Strawberry!

Another Friday night - City Lights and Manowar! Hail & Kill!

And to finish this burn diary a stunning burn of Woodwick's Fireside! A real burning experience in this large ellipse jar. A great throw a bit like a stronger version of Yankee Candle's Fireside.

See you towards the end of October ..and you know what that means! 🎃🎃
