THE 10 SCENTS OF CHRISTMAS - A YANKEE CANDLE GUIDE!

Tis the season to be jolly and what better way to enjoy the festive season than with some fantastic Yankee Candles and their amazing true-to-life scents!

I’m very excited this year as it is my first proper Yankee Candle Christmas, so to help build some excitement and perhaps guide you to an informed purchase, here are my thoughts on 10 fantastic Christmas candles – all available at the moment!

APPLE AND PINE NEEDLE

Apple And Pine Needle is one of the strongest fragranced Christmas candles you can get. If you want a full on, deep pine needle scent laced with a touch of apple, then this super fragrance is for you. With its rich green wax colour and seasonal image, Apple and Pine Needle will fill your home with a very bold and distinctive scent.

CHRISTMAS EVE

Christmas Eve is a delightful blend of sugary fruits and other magical ingredients. This candle has a real anticipatory feel to it, as it should being named Christmas Eve. The aroma actually whisks you off to that special day and evening with all the joy it brings.

CHRISTMAS TREE

Christmas Tree has been retired recently but is still available from many retailers. It has the  beautiful rich scent of a real Christmas Tree. A real cosy fragrance that will make any space feel festive!

CRANBERRY ICE

Cranberry Ice has that delightful aroma of Christmas fruit livened up with an icy touch. Quite how the smell of ice can be captured is something that only the master chandlers of Yankee Candle can reveal!

NORTH POLE

North Pole is available in the UK in limited quantities direct from Yankee Candle. It is an amazingly refreshing scent with a bright, sharp minty notes. North Pole will whisk you off to the snow covered fantasy landscapes of your imagination.

RED APPLE WREATH

Red Apple Wreath is a deliciously warming winter fruit candle with a hint of green that you’d expect from a Christmas wreath. It brings to mind a warm fireplace and cosying up with all of the delights of the festive season around you.

RED BERRY AND CEDAR

Red Berry And Cedar as so many have said - is Christmas in a candle. One of the most complex of the Christmas Yankee Candle scents, its varying notes should delight you senses! One minute mysterious and fruity and the next full of green notes like pine and cedar, this fragrance will bring everything  Christmas into your home. Recently retired by Yankee Candle, it is still available from a good number of retailers.

SNOWFLAKE COOKIE

Snowflake Cookie is one of four new fragrances released by Yankee Candle for Christmas 2013. It is a delicate yet biscuity fragrance that actually manages to smell pink! Enjoy its unusual aroma for a little extra twinkle in your household this festive season.

SPARKLING CINNAMON

Cinnamon comes into its own at Christmas and probably the best spicy festive Yankee Candle of all is Sparkling Cinnamon. The wax is a lovely rich red colour and the candle is full on cinnamon, but almost as if it has been dusted with sugar to give it that sparkling feel.

SUGARED APPLE

And last but not least is Sugared Apple. This fragrance is rich and bold. The apple dusted with sugar is mixed with other less sweet notes to give you a strong, deep and unique fragrance. Sugared Apple will whisk you off to a Christmas kitchen with all of the headiest notes of baking fruit pies mixed with the warming christmas aromas from your living room.
