It has been
a bit of a cold and dreary week, with spring only really showing itself on
Sunday.
So back to
the late winter warmers for me and I’m still trying to finish that jar of
Blissful Autumn. As least it is throwing the scent well at the moment as it
reaches the end of its life.
Buttercream
was melted on Tuesday and again it gave a much needed warm feel to a chilly
night.
Spiced
Orange followed and it’s a real pick you up fragrance. This festive treat goes
well beyond Christmas and has a lovely almost orange peel / marmalade tone to
it.
French
Lavender was already on when I got home on Thursday and its rich, calming notes
are perfect to help you relax after a busy day.
Wedding Day was
Friday’s treat with its beautiful, complex blend of white florals and perfume.
Even though
it was cold and dreary on Saturday, we had a taste of spring with the
absolutely divine Cherry Blossom. Sweet, powdery and full of springtime hope –
I just love this scent. You can just glimpse a Cherry Blossom tree coming into
bloom outside of the window.
Vanilla Chai
warmed us through the evening. This recently retired fragrance is a love/hate
one amongst Yankee Candle fans. We adore its complicated blend of spices and
vanilla – very unique and special. And of course, it went right along with Rosa’s Yankee Candle
show on QVC!
Hooray, a
glimpse of sunshine on Sunday, so time to crack open Wild Passion Fruit to
celebrate. This lovely slightly spiced fruit fragrance is always a winner when
the sun is out.
White
Gardenia took us through Sunday night with its lovely sharp gardenia flowery
notes. Still possibly my favourite Yankee floral.
And finally,
this week’s guest photo from TEAM YANKEE is by Amie – a nice shot of Vanilla
Lime and a Yankee bear!
