My burning
week started off with Beach Flowers even though it isn’t quite the weather for
it. We were away for a seaside break the next day so this lovely powdery floral
got us in the mood! Sadly Beach Flowers retired recently, so if you see it snap
it up, retired fragrances become sought after quite quickly!
Even when you’re
away, Yankees can come out to play! We took a Yankee Candle electric warmer to
our hotel room and melted Buttercream and Lemon Lavender. The latter was the
star. Nothing like coming back from an evening out with the lovely Lemon Lavender
aroma lingering in the air.
Back home
all too quickly and after a car journey that went on forever, Midnight Jasmine
was the perfect tonic!
Saturday
morning began with the lovely springtime floral notes of Garden Hideaway.
As a treat,
at the same time we lit Honeydew Melon. Its sweet melon notes were a refreshing
tonic after a few days away.
For the
evening, I burned On Tap for the first
time. Had no idea what to expect from this ‘man candle’ other than it smelled
like shandy on cold sniff! Well we were both pleasantly surprised that the same
scent was there on burning. Just like being in a beer garden on a summer’s day,
On Tap was great .. and pretty strong too. The living room still smelled like a
pub the next morning … so a warning, it is for beer fans only. Unique, there’s
nothing like it - well done Yankee Candle master chandlers!
Into Sunday
and it was very grey, so the beautiful notes of River Valley welcomed in the
day as it began to rain.
Mountain
Lodge followed in the afternoon. I never tire of this beautiful scent.
Into Sunday
evening and for the first time for a long time, I burned Black Coconut. Its
deliciously, rich, exotic scent is delightful. Even if you don’t particularly
like coconut smells (like me!) you may love the rich, sandalwood feel of Black
Coconut. Look, even Ben Linus is
astounded by it!
Thanks to
everyone on the wonderful TEAM YANKEE Facebook group who continues to share
their photos. This week’s photo is from Karen who enjoyed a burn of Lovely Kiku
– nice shade!
