YANKEE CANDLE COMES TO LONDON!

Fans of Yankee Candle and international travellers have long been puzzled as to why there is no Yankee Candle shop or stockist in our capital city -  London. It seems bizarre but you can trawl the West End department stores and you won’t see as much as a sampler on sale!

However I’m pleased to report that a brand new Yankee Candle shop has opened in London in the giant Westfield shopping mall (West London). This huge complex is just a few minutes by tube from the very centre of London and the large shop is open until Christmas (and possibly beyond).

The new shop is very easy to find being just a few shops into the Westfield complex (full directions below). It is a huge store and somewhat TARDIS like (I’ve always been waiting to get a Doctor Who link into my Yankee Candle blog!) from its fairly narrow exterior.

 

 

Walking in through the doorway you are presented with a huge and beautifully decorated interior.

 

 

 

Both staff members in store were very friendly and welcoming and happy for me to take pictures to show the Yankee Army (and the world)!

 

 

Plenty of creative Christmas displays in store such as this with some lovely gift wrapping on show..

 

 

 

A lovely Gingerbread section with some novel display pieces – a Yankee Candle handcart no less!

 

 

Another lovely display which makes you feel welcome and very Christmassy.

 

 

 

Gorgeous display of Midsummer’s Night and Baby Powder with shades.

 

 

As you’d expect, there’s a good mix of all the popular Yankee scents and accessories...

 

 

 

And some great offers too! Two large jars for £27 offer includes Christmas Eve, Snow In Love, Cranberry Ice, Kitchen Spice, Cinnamon Stick and Mandarin Cranberry.

 

 

So it was a quick visit for me first time around but I will be back soon. Let’s hope this beautiful first Yankee Candle store in London does well. It’s certainly worth a trip between now and Christmas!

Directions :

The London Yankee Store is just a few minutes walk from either Wood Lane or Shepherd’s Bush Market tube stations (Hamm & City Line). Alternatively you can get the Central Line to Shepherd’s Bush and follow signs to Westfield. Again just a short walk.

From Wood Lane turn left out of the station and cross the road to Westfield (you can’t miss it!). Once inside Westfield go up the escalator and bear left. You will pass a Disney store and the Yankee Store is just a few shops further down on the right hand side.
